In an ordinary sea
The stingray swims on the sandy seabed
In an ordinary sea
And I would like to swim along
And sing not my useless song
But I lay on the beach all day long
And I must be doing something wrong
Red dots fly through the clouds
Wings of the flamingos burn bright
Red dots fly through the clouds
Wings of the flamingos burn bright
Their beaks are dark things
But if they offer to cut my strings
I would like to fly with them
Towards the sun under their wings
A turtle is coming towards me
Its back is with strange ornaments etched
Sunny days are coming to be
I cup my hands, some water to fetch
It paws the sandy ground
And beneath us can be found
Seeds of the new generation
Of turtles hidden in the sand
Wise octopus from the cliff
Is an everlasting ocean bum
And I am catching a whiff
That shores make people dumb
A seahorse winks at me, from under the reef
Knowing that I have overcome my disbelief
The wave sometimes catches with all of us
There is no reason to succumb to grief
